Regents College
Regent's College is an ideal location for those studying in London. Housing many students from several locations around the world, the college offers not only diversity, but also a convenient location for those interested in seeing the sites London has to offer.
Dorm Rooms
The dorms have become a second home to many of us. What is cool about the living situation is that almost all of the students in the program live right down the hall from each other. This gives us the opportunity to get to know one another on a more personal level, and become life-long friends.
However, to navigate the dorm life, we have a few pieces of advice. One thing that is a must-have item is shower shoes, because you will be using community showers. Furthermore, bring your own sheets and a pillow, because it will make your stay feel more like home. One thing that we love is the feeling of safety at Regent’s. To even get into the dorms, one must go through a series of turnstiles and security checks.
Food
The food is one of the highlights of the college. There are three dining choices on campus: the Refectory, the Brassiere and the Sports Pub. The Refectory serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and has so many choices that there is always something for everyone. The Brassiere is more upscale, offering a sit-down setting with classic Italian food that will make your mouth water. The Sports Pub has a more hip feel, offering American dishes and a variety of drinks for those who want to get to know the residents of Regent’s College better. You have a dining card which will last you the entirety of your stay.
Fitness Room
The fitness room is open from 10am-6pm everyday. There is no charge but you must fill out a release form to excersize. There is also a dance studio adjacent to the fitness room which hosts various aerobic classes.
Laundry
Since you obviously can’t bring enough clothes to last you the entire trip, the laundry room can help you get rid of any unpleasant odors you might find when wearing your clothes for a few days. The laundry room is located on the first floor, all the way at the end of the hall. You can purchase laundry tokens from the Reid Hall reception desk.
Pizza Delivery
For those of you who are late night snackers, fear no more. The cafeteria closes at approximately 8 p.m. on weekdays and 2:30 p.m. on weekends, so when you’re hungry after a long night of dancing in the nightclubs, pick up the phone and order a pizza! The employees at the Reid Hall reception desk can assist you with this task.
